1- BYD eMax 7 

BYD India will soon launch its third electric Premium SUV the BYD eMax7. The eMAX 7 is an upgraded version of the e6 MPV. The BYD eMAX 7 is expected to launch in India on October 8, 2024. The price of BYD eMax 7 is starting from Rs.26.90 lakhs in india.

The BYD eMax 7 will offer versatile seating with options for six or seven passengers, unlike the e6, which only had a 5-seater layout. Although this will reduce cargo space, the upgraded leatherette upholstery provides a more premium feel.

Additionally, the eMax 7 will feature a 12.8-inch rotating infotainment screen, a fixed panoramic glass roof, and an ADAS suite for safety. The redesigned center console, with faux wood and aluminum accents, along with soft-touch materials on the dashboard, enhances the overall look and comfort of the interior.

Harrier EV is a stylish seater EV car engineered on Omega Architecture, derived from the legendary Land Rover D8 architecture and developed in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover

The Harrier.EV is a distinctive and dynamic SUV with a sleek, coupe-like shape that suits active lifestyles. Its striking design is enhanced by a two-tone roof and bright window accents.

In addition to the Tata Harrier EV, Tata also has the Sierra EV and Avinya EV in the pipeline. Both the Sierra and Avinya are expected to launch in FY26. The concept version of the Avinya was unveiled at the 2022 auto show, and reports indicate that Tata may introduce multiple models under the Avinya brand.

3- Maruti eVX

Maruti eVX is the next upcoming electric car on our list. The car is expected to launch by March 2025 at an expected price tag of Rs 20- 25 lakh

The eVX will have a Toyota version, set to launch later, with both models being manufactured in India and exported globally. Built at Suzuki Motor Gujarat’s Hansalpur facility, the eVX will share Toyota’s 27PL skateboard platform, designed for future mass-market EVs.
The eVx will possibly be 4.3 meters long and will provide spacious interiors due to its born-EV architecture. The eVX will feature a flat bonnet, an upright nose with large headlamps, a closed-off grille, and rear door handles positioned on the C-pillar.

 

The eVX will have a wide stance with muscular shoulder lines that flow into the tailgate, maintaining a connected LED tail light design. Its coupe-like roofline tapers towards the rear, enhancing its sleek look. Inside, the dashboard is expected to be tall with a twin-screen setup, similar to the Mahindra XUV700. 

Additionally, the SUV includes a 360-degree camera, frameless rearview mirror, ADAS technology, and a unique two-spoke steering wheel design.

Maruti Suzuki is also expected to launch the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R EV in India by 2025- 2026, with an estimated starting price of Rs 8.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It may offer multiple battery pack options, providing a driving range of over 300 km.

4- Mahindra XUV. e8

Mahindra XUV. e8 is the next upcoming car on our list. The Mahindra XUV. e8 will be the first new electric SUV to be launched, and it will come in December 2024. The price of Mahindra XUV.e8 is expected to be Rs. 35-40 Lakh

A sister car to the ICE XUV700 of today, the XUV. e8 will retain that car’s basic shape, size, and seven-seat layout. However, it will be built using the INGLO skateboard platform and it will also get the new INGLO electronic architecture inside.

The XUV.e8 will feature a rear-mounted electric motor producing 231PS of power and 380Nm of torque, with a rear-wheel-drive setup. Additionally, the XUV.e series will be equipped with Valeo motors. Mahindra Electric has not revealed any more details about the XUV, e8. All the details will be revealed upon launch. 

In addition to XUV. e8, Mahindra electric has the XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07, BE.RALL- E in its pipeline. After XUV. e8, the XUV.e9 will be launched next by April 2025.

This model will be a sportier, coupe-SUV version of the XUV.e8, featuring two rows of seats. It is expected to share the same mechanical components and interior design as the XUV.e8.

The Mahindra BE.05 and BE. RALL-E will be launched by October 2025.

The Mahindra BE 07, which is a 4.6-metre-long SUV, will likely be more luxury-focused than the BE 05 and is expected to be launched by April 2026. The BE 09 is still in the concept stage. 

The company is also planning to electrify its ICE brands, the Electric Thar, Scorpio, and Bolero. The launch timeline of these models will be revealed at a later date. 

5- Ola Electric Sedan 

The Ola Electric Sedan is the is the next upcoming electric car on our list. 

Ola Electric is well-positioned in the electric scooter segment and the electric motorcycle segment. The company is planning to enter into the four-wheeler segment now.

The electric sedan is expected to redefine the standards of electric cars, combining sleek design, cutting-edge technology, and unparalleled safety features.

Volkswagen ID.4 is the next upcoming Electric car on our list. The ID.4 is expected to launch by December 2024 with a price tag of Rs 50- 60 lakh. 

The ID.4 is said to be a stylish, fun, and roomy EV SUV. The ID.4 will showcase a bold and aerodynamic design, featuring available 21-inch alloy wheels and generous cargo space of 64.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. Adventurous drivers will appreciate the roof rails, while LED taillights and illuminated door handles add a touch of elegance.

Inside, comfort is prioritized with a heated, multi-function steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, and 12-way power controls with lumbar massage.

The expanded glass roof will provide stunning views, ensuring a luxurious experience in this stunning electric SUV.

7- Skoda Enyaq iV 

The Skoda Enyaq iV is the next electric car on our list. It is expected to launch by the end of this year for Rs. 50 to 55 lakh

Built on Volkswagen’s MEB platform, similar to the ID.4, the Enyaq is a spacious SUV with a bold and simple aesthetic that embodies the Skoda brand. Captured within Skoda’s production facility, the vehicle will be equipped with a fast charger.

The interior is expected to offer a premium finish, highlighted by a low-slung dashboard adorned with leather upholstery.

Key interior features include a two-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, and a large floating infotainment screen. Additionally, Skoda plans to equip the Enyaq with advanced technologies like ADAS and a 360-degree and more.

Skoda will also launch the Skoda Elroq EV, which they claim to be a more compact affordable EV. It will be the brand’s first model to feature a modern solid infrastructure. The Skoda Elroq is expected to launch in India by 2025

8- Hyundai Creta EV

Hyundai is soon expected to launch the Creta EV in the Indian Market. So, the Creta EV takes the next spot on our list. It is expected to launch in India by the end of this year or early in 2025. The Creta EV is assumed to start around Rs 20 lakh.

The Creta EV will sport a closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, and a new set of alloy wheels. Inside, it will retain the same cabin layout as its internal combustion engine (ICE) counterpart, featuring a dual-tone theme and integrated dual-digital displays.
However, the all-electric Creta will introduce a new 3-spoke steering wheel and move the drive selector behind the steering wheel instead of placing it in the center console.

 

The Creta EV is expected to borrow most features from its ICE sibling, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, and ventilated front seats.

For safety, it could offer six airbags as standard, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) such as auto emergency braking, lane assist, and adaptive cruise control.

While battery and motor specs haven’t been revealed, the Creta EV is expected to have a large battery pack with a range of over 400 km, support DC fast charging, and offer multi-level regenerative braking.

In addition to the Creta EV, Hyundai is also expected to launch the Hyundai IONIQ 6 and the second generation of Hyundai Kona Electric 2024 by next year.

Hyundai Motors is also planning to introduce the smallest member of the electric vehicle family the Hyundai Inster EV in India.

The India launch is expected to be around June 2026, and the price of Inster EV is expected to be from Rs 10- 12 lakh. Hyundai Inster EV will be launched first in South Korea

9- Volvo EX90

The Volvo EX90 is the next upcoming electric car on our list. The Volvo EX90 will be launched by 2025 at a price tag of 90 lakh.

The Volvo EX90 is based on the Concept Recharge and represents an evolution of the current XC90 SUV. It retains classic Volvo design elements like Thor’s hammer headlights and a blanked-off grille, similar to the XC40 Recharge.

Inside, it boasts a 14.5-inch vertical touchscreen powered by Google-based infotainment, along with a 5G connection for over-the-air updates.

10- Vinfast VFe34

Vinfast’s first electric car in India the Vinfast VFe34 is the last car on our list. The first Vinfast Car in India is expected to be launched by 2025 at an affordable price tag of Rs 20- 25 lakh

VinFast is expected to introduce its VFe-34, VF6, and VF7 models in India, with the VF e34 likely being the first to enter the market, as suggested by recent spy shots.
The India-spec VF e34 is anticipated to resemble the Vietnamese version, featuring sleek LED headlamps, thick body cladding, body-colored door handles, chrome window garnish, and 5-spoke alloy wheels.

 

Inside, the VF e34 is likely to offer a 10-inch vertically stacked touchscreen, a 7-inch instrument cluster, ventilated fabric seats, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Wi-Fi, USB ports, and keyless entry.

The model is expected to come equipped with an ADAS suite, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Parking Assist, along with six airbags, a rear parking camera, and a tire pressure monitoring system for enhanced safety.
