Mahindra Electric has created a buzz with the launch of its premium electric SUVs, the BE 6E and XEV 9E. These advanced models are built on Mahindra’s in-house developed INGLO platform, which symbolizes the brand’s vision and foundation—’ IN’ for India and ‘GLO’ globally.

These SUVs, priced at ₹18.90 lakhs and ₹21.90 lakhs (introductory ex-showroom prices) respectively, are set to enter showrooms in early 2025, with deliveries commencing soon after.

However, Mahindra’s EV ambitions don’t stop here.

According to reliable sources, the company plans to significantly expand its EV portfolio over the next two years, with exciting additions to its XEV and BE series, along with new electric models derived from its ICE vehicles.

Here’s a sneak peek at the upcoming innovations from Mahindra’s electrified lineup.

XUV 3X0 EV: Compact and Competitive

Mahindra is gearing up to unveil the electric version of the XUV 3X0, slated for an early 2025 release. Positioned below the XUV400, this compact EV is expected to offer a range of approximately 400 km per charge.

Designed to compete with popular models like the Tata Punch EV, Citroen eC3, and MG Windsor EV, the XUV 3X0 aims to strengthen Mahindra’s foothold in the expanding compact electric vehicle market.

Expanding the BE and XEV Series

The BE 6E and XEV 9E SUVs mark just the beginning of Mahindra’s ambitious plans for its INGLO platform. The company is exploring options for seven-seater versions of these models to cater to family-oriented buyers.

While the final specifications are under wraps, these developments highlight Mahindra’s commitment to creating versatile electric SUVs that balance practicality and innovation.

Trademarks for Legacy Models: Scorpio.e, Bolero.e, and Thar.e

Mahindra has filed trademarks for electric versions of its iconic models, including the Scorpio, Bolero, and Thar.

The Thar.e, an electrified adaptation of the five-door Thar Roxx, is anticipated to debut in late 2026. These models reflect Mahindra’s strategic move to blend legacy with innovation, offering a modern twist on its most popular vehicles.

Here are the details of the above models:

Scorpio.e

As part of Mahindra’s electrification strategy, the Scorpio.e is expected to build on the legacy of the beloved SUV.

While details remain limited, the electric Scorpio aims to provide a balance of rugged performance and eco-friendliness, appealing to loyal fans and new customers alike.

Bolero.eThe Bolero.e will bring Mahindra’s trusted workhorse into the electric age. Known for its durability and reliability, the Bolero.e is likely to cater to rural and semi-urban markets, offering an eco-friendly alternative without compromising on utility.

Thar.e: A Bold Leap Forward

The electric Thar, dubbed Thar.e, promises to redefine off-road capabilities in the EV era. With a design inspired by the five-door Thar Roxx, this model is set to combine adventure-ready features with cutting-edge technology, making it a standout in Mahindra’s EV portfolio.

More Upcoming Mahindra Electric SUVs

Mahindra’s electric SUV lineup is set to expand further with the introduction of models like the XUV e8, XEV 7e, Rall E, BE 07, and BE 09 etc. Interestingly, the previously announced BE 05 and XUV e9 have been rebranded as the BE 6E and XEV 9E.

This indicates the possibility that Mahindra may rename or rebrand its upcoming EVs before their official launch, but these updates aren’t confirmed.

Conclusion

Mahindra’s upcoming electric vehicles signal a bold step toward an electrified future.

By blending cutting-edge technology with its iconic models, Mahindra is setting the stage for a diverse and versatile EV lineup that caters to a wide range of preferences and needs.

As the EV market grows increasingly competitive, Mahindra’s focus on innovation and legacy ensures it remains a significant player in the evolving landscape.
