Mr. Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger EV, along with his team on 28 September 2022, launched India’s cheapest electric car, which offers a range of 300 km on a full charge. With a low price of Rs 8.49 lakh, it will be India’s most affordable electric car.
This will be open for booking on 10th October 2022 and its delivery will start on January 2023.

Tata Tiago EV Battery details
Tata will provide their new upgraded Tiago EV with two types of battery options so that as per customers’ requirements and budget they can choose. 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh lithium-ion batteries are two options in which this EV is available currently but in the future, these options may vary as per demand and requirement.
Charging option in Tiago EV
In 19.2 kWh there will only a 3.3 kW AC charger option will be available which will be a fast charger so its battery will be nondetachable.
In 24kWh there will be two charging options 3.3kW and 7.2kW Ac charging option which will be a fast charger and it will be a non-detachable battery.
Tata Tiago EV Range
As we know with a change or shift in battery power there will be a change in the range also so with the battery capacity of 19.2kWh it will give a range of 250 km on a single charge and with a 24kWh battery, it will give a 315 km of range in a single charge.
Tata Tiago EV Variant and their price
With a 19.2kWh battery, this EV will come in two variants only XE which will cost Rs.8.49 lakhs, and XT which will cost Rs.9.09 lakhs. Ex-showroom price
And in a 24kWh battery, there will be 5 variant options available. under a 3.3kW AC charger, there are 3 choices XT which will cost Rs.9.99 lakhs, XZ+ will cost Rs.10.79 lakhs, XZ+tech LUX will cost Rs.11.29 lakhs.
In the 7.2kW AC charger, there are two options available XZ+ which will cost Rs 11.29 Lakhs and XZ+tech LUX will cost Rs 11.79 Lakhs.
