Tata Motors is all set to expand its electric vehicle (EV) lineup starting with the Curvv EV set to launch on 7th August.

Amidst its aggressive EV plans, Tata Motors has announced that it will introduce its Charge Point Aggregator, which is designed for its EV charging needs.

This new feature will offer live updates from over 15 charging providers nationwide and is scheduled to go live on August 7, 2024. This move aims to strengthen Tata’s EV ecosystem by providing real-time charging station information, range-based trip planning, and charging station ratings through its connected car app.

Tata’s Dominance in the EV Market

As one of the early movers in the Indian EV passenger vehicle space, Tata Motors has made significant progress with models like the Nexon EV, Tigor EV, Tiago EV, and Punch EV.

Currently, Tata claims over 70 percent market share in this segment.

Looking ahead, the company plans to launch three more EVs in the current financial year, starting with the Curvv EV. The Curvv EV, launching on August 7, 2024, will be the company’s second model on the ‘acti.ev’ platform. It features flush door handles, 18-inch alloy wheels with aero inserts, and ample storage space in both the rear and front boots.

Innovative Features of Curvv EV

Inside the Curvv EV, there is a 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system running the Arcade.ev app suite with multiple voice assistants.

Additional features include a powered tailgate with gesture function, vehicle-to-vehicle charging, and vehicle-to-load capabilities.

The Curvv electric SUV is expected to offer a range between 400 km to 500 km on a single charge, making it a compelling option in the premium electric SUV market.

Tata’s Upcoming EV Models- Harrier EV and Sierra EV

Tata Motors is also developing several other highly anticipated EV models. The Tata Harrier EV, expected to launch in early 2025, was showcased at Auto Expo 2023 and is built on Tata’s new Acti.EV platform.

Tata’s Continued EV Innovations

Another eagerly awaited model is the Tata Sierra, initially shown as an EV concept at Auto Expo 2020 and revisited in the 2023 edition.

Additionally, the Tata Altroz EV, set to be Tata’s second electric hatchback following the Tiago EV, is also in development. These upcoming models highlight Tata Motors’ commitment to expanding its electric vehicle lineup and maintaining its leadership in the EV market.
