Simple One Electric Scooter Production Started
Simple energy is an electric two-wheeler startup located in Bangalore, India. They appeared in the papers first time in 2019. Yesterday on 19th January 2023, the company rolled out its first production facility “Simple Vision 1.0” located in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu. The factory is spread across an area of 200,000 sq ft. This state-of-art production house is expected to roll out 1.25 lakh vehicles every year and provide employment to 700+ people in India. Wow! We can expect wide media coverage on 27 January 2023. This is a new milestone in the company’s growth journey.
The company in the past commented that this facility will commence the production of Simple One which will aid the deliveries of the electric scooter.
Simple One Delivery Date
Talking about the deliveries, the deliveries for the Simple One electric scooter would begin in the month of March FY’23. These scooters would be delivered according to the booking status by an individual. For this purpose, the company has set up a motor line that will manufacture its own proprietary motors. After delaying the delivery schedule by multiple times, Simple Energy is now set to determine the course of deliveries.
It is also expected that the company has invested approximately Rs. 100 Crore in the Hosur facility which is a massive investment in comparison to the other EV startups in India. The state-of-art production house will work as a research and development center for future electric scooter production and changes in technology.
Simple One Specification, Range & Price
Simple energy rolled out its first electric scooter “One” in August 2021 and since then they have received many orders for the product. The electric scooter has an IDC range of 236 km and an acceleration of 0-40 km/hr within 2.95 seconds. The electric scooter will have a dual battery pack that can touch a top speed of 105km/hr. The prices of the electric scooter are around Rs. 1.10 Lakh(ex-showroom). This makes it the highest-range electric scooter in India giving a tough fight to the Ola electric scooters.
