Olectra currently operates 150 electric buses in the city for the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML).

Apart from Pune, the company, which is a part of Megha Engineering & Infrastructure Limited, has its fleet operating in Surat, Mumbai, Pune, Silvassa, Goa, Nagpur, Hyderabad, and Dehradun. As the response from passengers is encouraging in many cities, the concerned transport organizations are keen to expand their electric bus fleet, it said.

KV Pradeep, Chairman, and Managing Director, Olectra Greentech Ltd. said, “Olectra is proud to add another 150 fleets of electric buses to the existing fleet of 150 buses in the city of Pune, Are Committed to reducing emissions.” source 

The 12-meter air-conditioned buses have a seating capacity of 33 passengers and are equipped with CCTV cameras, an emergency button, and a USB socket for each seat to ensure the safety of the passengers.
