NAKS is an Ahmedabad Based startup that has been garnering attention in the whole country with its quirky but impressive electric bicycle, the Limited Edition NAKS-90 Pro. This EV, priced at INR 30,999 (roughly Rs 31000) is not just affordable but also claims to be the smoothest pedal assist system for PAS mode lovers.

Design

There’s no denying that the NAKS Limited Edition NAKS-90Pro is a head-turner. Look at it from the front, and you might mistake it for a normal bicycle, thanks to the simple and lightweight, and slim design. Move to the side, and you’ll realize how wrong you were. The metal frame is aerodynamic and good looking too, and on the structure, NAKS has given the battery pack with a detachable box, while the controller sits on a vertical seat tube with an all-weather water-resistant, dust-proof IP-rated cover.

Unlike most e-bikes, this doesn’t have a Normal PAS, but a dustproof Smoothest PAS sensor with 12 magnets and Twin Hall effect sensors. That is the key difference this

Specification

In addition to some other technical details, it has high torque BLDC hub motor with 250watt continuous power. This can be paired with three different options of lithium-ion batteries which can be charged in 2.5 to 3.5  hours, with a claimed range of 25, 33, or 40 Km.

Interestingly, unlike most e-bikes or electric cycles, NAKS doesn’t give fix options,  they provide customized options like a variety PAS modes, range, battery type, and color. And despite that, the startup claims that this EV can achieve a top speed of 25kmph at full load up to 90 kg.
The Limited Edition comes with equally capable other hardware to back that performance. A high-quality front suspension gives smooth rides on bumpy roads. For braking, the front and rear both are 160mm discs with high friction caliper
