The Exterior Design of the Mini Cooper SE
The Cooper SE appears to be nearly identical to the standard Cooper hatchback that people have grown to love. All of Cooper’s traditional design elements, such as the round LED headlamps, Union Jack-themed LED taillamps, and, of course, that familiar silhouette, has been retained.
There are some key differences, such as the blacked-out front grille with a new ‘E’ badge, a slightly reprofiled front bumper, a redesigned rear bumper that no longer needs to house exhaust pipes, and yellow accents on the door mirror caps and wheels.
EXTERIOR FEATURES:
- Yellow Mirror Caps,
- 17-inch electric power spoke alloy,
- Contrasting roof in black, and
- Exterior accents in Piano Black.
Speaking of which, the Cooper SE’s distinctive wheel design is meant to resemble a British plug socket. It also sits 15mm higher than the combustion-engined model to allow for battery pack clearance.
In India, the Cooper SE will be available in four color options: White Silver, Midnight Black, Moonwalk Grey, and British Racing Green.
Interior and Features of the Mini Cooper SE EV
On the inside, the Cooper SE’s cabin is instantly recognizable. The overall dashboard design is very similar to that of the standard Cooper hatchback – a key highlight is a new digital instrument cluster, which the Cooper SE is the first Mini to have.
The only other difference is a new toggle switch for the multi-level brake regeneration system on the center console, with the yellow accent carried over to the interior as well. Mini claims that the new powertrain has had little impact on the interior or boot space.
