The hatch may sit low to the ground because of the flat battery pack. With just 110 mm in height, it is rumored to boast SAIC’s flattest battery.

In addition to having the thinnest battery pack in its class, it is now only offered a rear-wheel drive configuration. All-wheel drive is planned for the future.

Range

The 51 kWh battery pack can travel up to 350 km, and the 64 kWh battery pack can travel up to 450 km when used in the WLTP cycle.

Motor

The 51 kWh battery pack is linked with a 168 horsepower electric motor, while the larger battery pack is outfitted with a 201 horsepower electric motor.
The powertrain also enables battery swapping systems that use Battery as a Service.

The MG4 EV was built with the ability to incorporate advanced technologies, such as a Pixel Point Cloud Comprehensive Environment Mapping for great self-driving solutions and an integrated service-oriented architecture to receive OTA updates.

Conclusion

The display at the Auto Expo will give MG the chance to measure the reaction from the media and show-goers, and it might be released soon to go along with the MG ZS EV and the Air EV.
