After going through all the key details of the above four compact cars, let’s now compare the cars based on various aspects, and see which one is the best.

Comparison Based on Design

When choosing an urban EV based on design, your preference will play a significant role. If you appreciate a futuristic and compact design, you should consider the MG Comet EV with its ‘Big Inside, Compact Outside’ concept, offering a spacious interior with a compact exterior. For a robust and bold appearance, the VinFast VF3 stands out with its tall body and geometric lines. If you want a sleek and sporty design, the Tata Tiago EV with its chic headlamps and blue eco-friendly highlights is a great choice. Lastly, if you prefer an athletic look with a sloping roofline and upscale features, the Citroen eC3 will meet your expectations.

Comparison Based on Range

For those prioritizing driving range, the Citroen eC3 and the Tata Tiago EV are your best bets. The eC3 offers the longest range at 320 km, making it ideal for longer commutes and less frequent charging. The Tiago EV follows closely with a range of 315 km. If your driving is mostly within the city and you don’t need as much range, the MG Comet EV (230 km) and VinFast VF3 (210 km) are suitable options for shorter distances.

Comparison Based on Charging Capacity

When it comes to charging times, if you need a quick recharge, the Citroen eC3 is the most efficient, with a fast charge option that takes only 57 minutes. The Tata Tiago EV also offers a relatively fast charging time of 2.6 hours. If you have the convenience of charging overnight, the MG Comet EV with a 7-hour charge time could be a suitable option. The VinFast VF3 also offers fast charging capabilities, but specific overall charging times are not detailed.

Comparison Based on Features

For advanced features and connectivity, the MG Comet EV shines with its i-SMART technology, providing over 55 connected car features and more than 100 voice commands. If you seek a high-tech infotainment system and versatile seating, the VinFast VF3 with its 10-inch touchscreen and folding seats is an excellent choice. The Tata Tiago EV offers a comprehensive package of smart features, including a HARMAN infotainment system and multiple drive modes, perfect for those who want a blend of technology and comfort. For superior safety features, the Citroen eC3 with six airbags, electronic stability control, and a rearview camera is the safest choice.

Comparison Based on Pricing

If budget is your primary concern, the MG Comet EV is the most affordable option starting at ₹8,33,800, offering great value for money. The Tata Tiago EV, priced at ₹8,99,000, provides a balance of features and performance for a slightly higher cost. If you’re willing to invest more for additional features and performance, the VinFast VF3 is expected to be priced between Rs. 9.00 – 12.00 Lakh, and the Citroen eC3 starts at ₹12.7 Lakh, catering to those who prioritize higher performance and advanced features.
