Suzuki Motor Corporation has taken a significant stride towards a greener future with the unveiling of its first mass-production battery electric vehicle (BEV), the electric Vitara.
The electric SUV will go on sale in several countries like India, Japan, and Europe around the summer of 2025. The company will start producing it at Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant by March 2025. The eVitara is expected to be priced between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 25 lakh in India.
This all-electric SUV is set to revolutionize the automotive industry and is scheduled to launch in multiple global markets, including India, by March 2025.

The European model will be available with two battery capacity options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh. It will also offer both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations, catering to diverse driving needs.
The e Vitara is built on Suzuki’s new Heartect-e platform, which is specifically designed for BEVs. This platform prioritizes lightweight construction and efficient space utilization, maximizing battery capacity and passenger comfort.

This system utilizes two independent eAxles to enhance stability and precision, especially on challenging terrains. The Trail mode, equipped with a limited-slip differential function (LSD), further improves traction and handling.
