South Korean carmaker Kia Corporation introduced its first dedicated electric vehicle, the Kia EV6 electric car. and Kia Motors has revealed Its variant’s top features & specs related to this car. Kia Motors will launch this car in three variants (EV6, EV6 GT, and EV6 GT line).

The front look of the Kia EV6 looks quite different from the regular cars of the company. From the specification of EV6, it seems that this car can give tough competition to Tesla cars.

Kia EV6 Price in India

The international price of the EV6 is expected to be £40,895 (approximately ₹41.82 lakh in India). And Kia Motors will start delivering this electric car in the Global Automobile market from Oct 2021.

Kia EV 6 Battery Capacity, Range & Charging Time

The Kia EV6 comes in two different battery packs. The first long-range variant comes with a 77 kWh lithium-ion battery. On the other hand, a 58 kWh battery pack is available in the other standard variant. Apart from this, only the long-range battery pack is available in their second variant EV 6 GT.

The Kia EV 6 comes with 800v and 400v fast-charging systems. Due to which it can be charged 10-80% in 18 minutes. The special feature of EV6 is that it can cover a distance of 100 km in 4 minutes of charging. The company claims that the Kia EV6 electric SUV gives a driving range of 510 km on a full charge.

Kia EV 6 Power & Performance

  EV 6 long-range variant

The EV 6 long-range variant is available in two powertrains. The first variant comes with the two-wheel-drive mode in which a 168Kw electric motor is given which gives 229PS of power. The second variant comes with a four-wheel-drive mode in which a motor of 239Kw has been installed Which gives the power of 325PS. This electric crossover SUV can accelerate from o to 100 kmph in just 5.2 seconds.

EV 6 Standard Range Variant

The standard variant of the Kia EV6 gets a 125Kw motor in the 2 wheel drive variant and a 173 kW electric motor in the four-wheel-drive variant. With this, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds.

EV 6 GT Variant

The 4-wheel drive GT variant of the EV6 electric crossover is powered by a 430kW dual motor. It generates torque of 740 Nm. Due to this, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds. The top speed of the EV Gt 6 variant is 260 kmph. Let us know that a special limited sleep software is available in this variant.

Interiors

Coming to the interiors of the EV6, Kia promises to give you more space than any other Electric car in the segment. While the Hyundai Getz has a flat dashboard design, the EV6 packs the cockpit around the driver’s seat.

It gets a large digital instrument cluster and central infotainment screen integrated into the curved black dashboard. It has a two-spoke steering wheel Between the front seats is a floating two-story center console, which gets a start button, rotating gear lever. Along with this, there is also a storage compartment with plenty of space.
