Details of the New Hyundai Kona Electric

Exterior

The Hyundai Kona has a wheelbase of 60mm. The rationale behind these changes was to expand the living space in the car. The interior is designed with premium material and it has advanced technologies like wireless charging, electric parking brakes, lumbar support driver’s seat in 10-ways, a sunroof, metal pads, front ventilation with heated seats, wire automatic transmission, and many more. Going with the dashboard display it has 12.3 inches. The seamless horizon lamp display is what makes Kona different from other electric vehicles. The Kona is a 5-seater car that will have six airbags.

Power and Range

The new Kona will have a 64.8kWh battery with a range of 459km and the charging time will be 57 minutes using a DC charger which will juice up the vehicle from 10-80 percent. When using an AC charger, you can have a waiting time of 6 hours and 10 minutes. The motor of Kona comes with 204hp and 255Nm of torque. The Kona will have a 0-100kph time similar to the Niro EV’s 7.8sec. The Indian version of the Kona EV came with a smaller 39.2kWh battery pack and a maximum torque of 395Nm. The battery warranty is 8 years.

Future 

The Kona will be launched in April 2023 and the price of the vehicle can be expected to range from ₹ 23.00-25.00 lakhs. The bookings will also start after the vehicle is launched but meanwhile, you can experience the booking experience.
