The company also launched its first India-made Smartscooter, the CrossOver GX250.

It was unveiled in December 2023 and is initially available in Delhi and Goa. The company plans to expand its availability to other cities in India in the future.  

Gogoro has also launched its battery-swapping network in India, which allows users to quickly swap depleted batteries for fully charged ones, providing a convenient and efficient charging solution

Gogoro Market Expansion Strategy

Initially targeting B2B customers in Delhi and Goa, Gogoro aims to expand to Mumbai and Pune in the first half of 2024. The company plans consumer availability in the second quarter of 2024.

Additionally, Maharashtra and Gogoro teamed up for a big project and invested $1.5 Billion in manufacturing and deploying Smart Battery Infrastructure in India.

Gogoro CrossOver Redefined Design and Features

The CrossOver series is built on an updated all-terrain frame, prioritizing comfort and versatility. It offers enhanced storage, riding, and customization options.

Gogoro plans to release three models in India: CrossOver GX250, CrossOver 50, and CrossOver S. While the GX250 is available now, the 50 and S models are scheduled for this year.

Gogoro CrossOver GX250 Price in India

The Gogoro CrossOver GX250 is expected to be priced at around Rs 1.20 lakh in India (ex-showroom).

Manufactured in Maharashtra, the CrossOver GX250 is Gogoro’s inaugural India-made Smartscooter. It amalgamates Gogoro’s innovative features with India-specific enhancements requested by pilot riders.

Enhanced Features for Indian Roads

The GX250 boasts an all-terrain chassis for diverse road conditions, increasing strength and stability. With 176mm of ground clearance, it surpasses Gogoro’s current vehicle lineup in elevation.

Performance and Adaptability

Powered by a 2.5 kW Direct Drive, the GX250 achieves a top speed of 60+kph and a certified range of 111km. Its robust frame design enhances suspension durability and accommodates larger loads, emphasizing stability and comfort.

Versatile Cargo Capability

The GX250 offers ample storage with a versatile mounting point expansion system comprising 26 locking points. It facilitates passenger riding space and four cargo areas, including a platform design headlight, foot, seat, and rear cargo space. The rear seat can be adjusted or removed for added cargo storage.

Recognition and Certification

India’s ICAT certified the GX250 in August, while Gogoro received recognition from SIDBI in November, making it the first foreign two-wheel OEM to receive such acknowledgment.

Advanced Battery Swapping Platform

Gogoro’s open and interoperable battery-swapping platform is recognized as a leading solution for lightweight urban vehicles. Certified by ICAT, it offers smart, safe, and dynamic battery refueling.
