Volvo EM90
The Volvo EM90 is the Company’s first ever fully electric premium MPV and is designed for you to make the most of the time spent in the car, like a Scandinavian living room on the move. The new EM90 doesn’t just allow you to travel from A to B – it creates room for your life.
Sister Model to Zeekr 009
The EM90 will be closely related to the Zeekr 009. It will be built on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), with Volvo specific design elements. The Zeekr 009 has a length of 5,209 mm, width of 2,024 mm, height of 1,856 mm and a wheelbase of 3,205 mmm. These dimensions are likely to be replicated for the EM90 as well.
The Zeekr MPV is available with two motor as well as battery options. It can have a rear-mounted electric motor with a power of 272 PS (268 hp or 200 kW) and 343 Nm of torque or a dual-motor setup providing a power of 544 PS (536 hp or 400 kW).
It can have a ternary lithium battery in either 116 kWh or 140 kWh capacities with a CLTC Standard Range of up to 702 kms and 822 kms respectively. We’ll need to wait until November to find out if these options apply to the EM90 or not.
Design
The EM90 will have T-shaped taillights, dual sunroofs and the signature ‘Thor’s Hammer’ LED daytime running lights. The door handles, antenna, side mirrors and other details seem unchanged.
Launch Date
The Volvo EM90 will make its global debut on 12 November 2023. Pre-orders will start for customers in China on the same date.
Company Will Reveal More Details About the Car in Coming Months.
