Volvo will introduce the EX90 SUV as the next flagship model for the company. It is scheduled to go on sale in all countries in 2024. The brand-new EV SUV is essentially the electric-only version of the current Volvo XC90. After the XC40 Recharge and the C40 Recharge, it will be the third electrified vehicle from the Swedish manufacturer.
With the release of the new flagship electric SUV, Volvo’s journey to an entirely electric portfolio moves forward. When the model goes on sale in 2024, it will be positioned above the XC90 model that is powered by gasoline.

Exterior
The EX90’s exterior styling is largely similar to that of the other Volvo vehicles produced by the business. The SUV has a length of more than 5 meters, a ‘T’ shaped LED light bar at the front, a ‘C’ shaped light bar at the back, and a body and wheels that have been sculpted to provide the best aerodynamic performance. Its appearance incorporates many features from the Concept Recharge and is more streamlined than other models like XC90 while maintaining traditional Volvo styling cues.

Powertrain
In terms of powertrain, the dual electric motors that power all four wheels of the electric SUV enable the EX90 SUV to produce a maximum output of 517 horsepower and a maximum torque of 910 Nm. According to the automaker, the EX90 SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/ph in just a matter of 4.9 seconds.
Battery and Range
A 111 kWh lithium-ion battery pack has been installed in the EX90 SUV by the Swedish carmaker. The electric SUV’s battery, according to the manufacturer, can accommodate DC fast charging of up to 250 kW and it is produced using renewable energy. This will enable the electric SUV to generate 180 km of range after only 10 minutes of battery charge. The Volvo EX90 promises to have a range of up to 600 km when completely charged, and the EV requires only 30 minutes to recharge up to 80 percent.
Enhanced Driver Assistance
The enhanced driver assistance features of the Volvo EX90 will make the trip easier and more enjoyable. The vehicle can support by adjusting the speed and distance given the current driving circumstances while also keeping an eye on the traffic and lane markings. When changing lanes, it may support the steering and also manage speed in severe turns. The automobile can also brake to a stop inside the lane if it notices any indication that the driver is not paying attention or is being unresponsive.

The Volvo EX90 meets the greatest standard level of safety that Volvo has ever achieved thanks to lidar and interior occupant sensing with additional security measures.
Volvo will also introduce its newest LIDAR technology with the EX90 Recharge electric SUV, making it one of the most sophisticated sensor sets on the market with its 8 cameras, 5 radars, and 16 ultrasonic sensors. All upcoming Volvo vehicles will eventually include this unique feature.
Additional features
The vehicle will also have a large 14.5-inch central display panel with wireless Apple CarPlay and built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant, and other Google and Apple services.
The Volvo EX90 will have high-fidelity audio designed by Bowers & Wilkins and provide an unusual 3D surround sound experience as an option.
