The number of cars of the Model Y sold in the first quarter of this year 2023 is 267,200 units. This is higher in number in comparison with 256,400 cars sold by Corolla and 214,700 cars sold by Toyota RAV4.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla had anticipated in 2016 that, this electric car model would get a demand in the level of 500k to 1 million units per year.
In the year 2021, Musk predicted that the Tesla Model Y would get the topmost position in the world.
As per Musk’s statement to his investors, “We think Model Y will be the best selling electric car or vehicle of any type in the world. Probably next year. I’m not 100 percent sure next year, but I think it’s quite likely”.

The price of the 2023 model from the Tesla, the Model Y begins from dollar 47, 490. And, this price is more than that of the 2023 Corolla, priced at dollar 21,550, and the 2023 RAV 4, priced at dollar 27, 575.
