    Stellantis Peugeot Inception Concept EV

Stellantis introduced its new Peugeot Inception Concept electric car at CES in Las Vegas on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

The Peugeot Inception Concept electric car will change the brand’s visual identity while enhancing its most recognisable traits, such as the feline stance and the glowing trademarks.

The Peugeot Inception Concept electric car will exemplify the brand’s key characteristics of Allure, Emotion, and Excellence while offering a steady and positive outlook for the future of the automobile industry. It will also help usher in a new age, providing a sneak peek at the upcoming lineup of vehicles, and paving the path for the amenities and technology that buyers will soon have access to.

    Interior

The interior area is being fully redesigned by PEUGEOT, who is also developing new digital and tactile experiences while reinterpreting driving gestures with the help of AI Technology

    Platform

One of the four upcoming Stellantis Group BEV by design platforms serves as the foundation for the Peugeot Inception Concept. It will endure a radical change once it becomes available in 2023. It will offer significant architectural distinctions that were specifically created for electrification, which the designers used to totally restructure the passenger area of the electric car. They have developed a new driving position as well as altered the passenger experience while travelling.

The Peugeot Inception Concept electric car is built on the STLA Large platform, which has been given the shape of a low 1.34m and effective saloon that is 5.00m long. This scale was purposefully designed to draw attention to the manifesto’s numerous innovations. The system is incorporated into Peugeot’s new official messaging system, which is still in beta.

    Artificial Intelligence Systems

STLA Brain, STLA SmartCockpit, and STLA Autodrive are the three AI systems that will power the Peugeot Inception Concept electric car.

    Battery and Range

The Peugeot Inception Concept is a 100% electric vehicle and features 800V technology. It can go 800 miles on a single full charge because of its 100kWh battery. Its usage is astounding at only 12.5 kWh per 100 km. The battery can charge to the equivalent of 30 kilometres of range in one minute or 150 kilometres in five minutes. It eliminates the need for a cable and uses induction to recharge quickly.

    Motor

It is a four-wheeler with two small electric motors, one at the front and the other at the rear, featuring the best and completely controlled dynamic driving. The total horsepower is around 500kW. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km per hour in less than 3 seconds.

    Steer-by-wire

Steer-by-wire is installed in it as well. In favour of Hypersquare control, digital electric controls have taken the role of mechanical linkages. This eliminates the steering wheel as we have known it for decades.

    Cabin

All of the furnishings are positioned lower down on the PEUGEOT INCEPTION CONCEPT. The driver has a small cockpit opposite the seats that can be hidden away when driving is assigned. Along with the crossbar and the bulkhead, the dashboard will also be gone. The occupants have a completely open view of the road, which allows them to see more and experience more, which amplifies the emotions felt on board tenfold.

    Seating

The Peugeot Inception Concept gives a fresh perspective on a grand tourer’s interior and develops new, longer seating configurations in keeping with the new “BEV-by-design” architecture devoted to electric vehicles. A comforting safety bracing is provided by the high beltline. Row 1 faces the front and provides a superb view of the road. Since there are more glass surfaces now and the seat dimensions have also changed, the second row has a greater view of the outside world. Row 2 has its own space and settings thanks to the glass fronts on the back of the front seats. The cabin’s materials have all been treated to reduce reflections. This means that depending on the environment, the inner colour of the electric car changes. Comfort and feeling are all enhanced in space. Additionally, Comfort Fit posture seating is made available, with headrests that don’t protrude past the body belt. This new architecture, which creates more room, is made possible by the low seat height.

    Conclusion

Peugeot Inception Concept displays the company’s upbeat futuristic outlook. It symbolises the excellence, allure, and emotion of a brand that is evolving and moving into a new era. The future lineup will be inspired by the Peugeot Inception Concept starting in 2025.
