Mercedes-Benz is a German luxury and commercial vehicle automotive brand founded in 1926 and headquartered in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. For the last 96 years, this German brand has delivered high-class cars in all luxury variants like sedans, sports, etc, and in the year 2022, as the world moves towards EVs, the brand has kept in mind the needs and demands of its customers.
Mercedes-Benz Has brought a mini car called Smart EQ.
The Smart EQ will be a budget electric car from Mercedes Benz which is a 2-person personal vehicle that can be used to drive in congested areas, compatible with places to park in small spaces, and most importantly, it’s an EV so there are no fossil fuel emissions.
This Mercedes model may be smaller in size but it has an average range of 135 km on a single charge. This EV produces 160Nm of torque and produces 80bhp of power with 60kW of motor capacity.
With so much power and capability, this EV can reach a top speed of 130 km/h on a smooth non-traffic path carrying two people inside. It has a battery capacity of 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery which gives time to deliver enough power and performance that the company claims. You can charge with both AC and DC chargers.
This vehicle has been in the market before Covid19 but only in the European and American markets, but will soon be launched in South Asian countries as well. Depending on the government subsidy, this EV will cost around 15 to 20 lakhs in India and $25,638 in Europe and America.
