Škoda to Unveil Six New EVs
Škoda Auto, the Czech carmaker, has announced its intention to accelerate its electric mobility campaign and transformation by launching four all-new e-vehicles and two updated Enyaq family models. This move will expand its battery electric vehicle (BEV) range to six models by 2026. The company is expected to invest a total of 5.6 billion euros in e-mobility by 2027.
Škoda Auto’s plan to introduce a range of electric SUVs includes a “Small” BEV in the small SUV segment, a “Compact” with the official name Elroq in the compact SUV segment, a spacious “Combi” estate model, and a seven-seater SUV “Space.” With this significant expansion and diversification of its all-electric portfolio, Škoda Auto aims to offer its customers a wide range of options in the electric vehicle market.
Elroq
In the year 2024, the highly anticipated release of the Elroq, the first upcoming Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), is set to make waves in the automobile industry. Serving as the successor to the Škoda Karoq, the Elroq will offer drivers a unique combination of compact dimensions and a spacious, practical interior, measuring around 4.50 meters in length. Produced at a state-of-the-art Škoda Group Plant in Spain, this cutting-edge vehicle will measure approximately 4.10 meters in length, with a luggage capacity similar to that of the popular Scala.
