Renault Megane E-Tech
With more than 10 years of experience in the design, development, engineering, manufacture, and sale of EVs, Renault is a pioneer and at the forefront of electric mobility. Renault has now intensified its electric journey with the introduction of the new Megane E-Tech Electric. This electric hatchback represents a blend of electric performance with great terrain capability in a sporty yet refined style.
Battery and Motor
All models in the UK are fitted with a 60kWh battery and a front-mounted motor that produces a power of 217 bhp and 300 nm of torque.
The Renault Megane E-Tech in India will have two battery options, 40 kWh and 60 kWh. It also can have two electric motor options, a base motor producing a power of 130hp and torque of 250Nm, or a more powerful motor producing 218hp of power and 300Nm of torque. The motor weighs around 145kg. The battery is just 110 mm tall, making it the thinnest battery pack on the market. According to Renault, this gives the electric model a lower center of gravity by 90 mm as compared to the petrol-powered model.

In terms of charging, the Megane can be charged using a standard 11kW AC charger. It can also be charged up to 80% in 40 minutes using a rapid DC charger of up to 130kW.
