The Swedish automobile manufacturing company made its debut in the rapidly growing small EV industry with its Volvo EX30. This small SUV is being made to target younger customers.
The price of the upcoming Volvo EX 30 begins from 36,000 pounds, or 33, 795 Euros in Europe. The showroom price of the car in America will be 34, 950 dollars, and it will cost 36, 145 dollars for delivery in that place. As per Indian currency, this electric car from Volvo will cost Rs. 31. 63 lakhs.
The Volvo EX 30 can cover a distance of 286 miles. And, the WLTP range of the car is 460 km per charge.
The EX 30 has been equipped with a motor of rating 422 hp, which is 428 Ps / 315 kW.
There is another motor of capacity 268 hp, which is 272 Ps / 200 kW.
Battery and Charging time
The electric car from Volvo is equipped with a Li-ion phosphate battery. This battery makes the price of the Volvo EX 30 lesser than the other electric SUVs of this type. The capacity of the battery is 69 kWh. It is an NMC unit battery that enhances the electric car’s charging time, performance, and range.
The battery of the electric car is capable of being charged from 10 – 80 % in about 28 minutes.
The length of the Volve EX 30 is 104. 3 inches (2, 650 mm) between axles. And, the vehicle measures only 166.7 inches (4, 233 mm) from bumper to bumper.
Base Plus Trim variant
There are many wonderful features in the EX 30 such as 18-inch wheels, contrasting color roof, adaptive cruise control with steering assist, LED headlights, electronic safety heads, and a 11 kW charger. All these features are available in the base plus trim variant.
Ultra Guise variant
The Ultra Guise variant of the EX 30 is provided with extended range and performance. This upgraded variant comes with an additional price of 3, 500 euros. Accordingly, many extra features are available in this Volvo EX 30 variant such as the 360-degree camera with a 3D view, dark tinted glass, panoramic roof, a 22 kW on-board charger, and electric seats.

According to reports from the company, many other improved features will be added to the EX 30 such as more ground clearance. The motor of this electric car has a charging capacity of 153 kW. The Volvo EX 30 is expected to be launched by the year 2025.
