Electric and Rolls- Royce is a combination that compliments each other the best and the long-awaited Rolls-Royce all-electric car has been launched.
Over 500 years ago one of its founders Charles Rolls said; “The electric car is perfectly noiseless and clean. There is no smell or vibration.”
Spectre is based on the “Architecture of Luxury” Spectre is underpinned by Rolls-Royce’s own spaceframe architecture.
The CEO of Rolls- Royce Müller-Ötvös announced their first fully electric car and it will be in the market in 2023. The Rolls- Royce executives have promised that by 2030 all products of Rolls- Royce will be all-electric.
The exterior of the Spectre EV
The front; bonnet tapers down and rolls over the front grille, and the car is designed with efficient aerodynamics. The Spirit of Ecstasy has gone through a complete overhaul with 830 hours of design and development and wind tunnel work, if you look very closely you will realize that she normally sits in the middle of her ball but here she is shuffled towards the front and is in a much more crouching position, it has been perfectly aero-tuned. The Spectre is the most aerodynamic Rolls-Royce thanks to all of these factors working together to give it a drag coefficient of 0.25.
The wheels are 23 inches, the biggest wheels yet to be fitted in a Rolls Royce or a coupe ever since the Bugatti Royale in 1926. The Spectre has a long wheelbase to fit in all the batteries. The designers have used three lines to define the shape of the car; the silhouette line at the top, followed by the shoulder line, and the waft line at the bottom. The shoulder line and the waft line tapers and gives the car a dynamic stance towards the front.
The rear end is flaked well streamlining the wind, with protruding tail lights and everything tapers to the rear end, accentuating it all with the two-paint paint job, the company used for the bonnet, roof, and boot lid.
With an approximate weight of 2.9 tonnes, it still promises a 310-mile range from charge.
The Interior of Spectre EV
It is very much like the existing models of the Rolls Royce, what is new is the starlight liner is also attached to the doors. The interior has 4,800 individually lit stars. The seats are very comfortable with luxurious carpets. Additionally, all of its seats are brand-new, with the back ones being exquisitely incorporated into the interior body panels. Along with its luxurious stitching, embroidery, and elaborate piping, The interior is flexible when it comes to customization.
The highlight of the interior has to be the new software “Spirit” In essence, linked automobile technology’s new digital interface manages all of the car’s operations. With the “Spirit” software, Rolls-Royce is able to provide customized services where even the shade of the dials may be altered to match the interior.
Rolls Royce Spectre Specs
Spectre is a luxury Electric Car that has a strong performance in addition to its luxury segment, as per the company the EV is able to give a maximum power of 577 horsepower and a 900 Nm peak of torque. It can zoom from 0 Kmph to 100 in 4.5s. No word on its battery pack is released yet.
