- Pune-based commercial electric vehicle maker EKA has unveiled the E9 electric bus at the Pune Alternate Fuel Conclave 2022.
The 9-meter long EKA E9 electric bus was unveiled by Aaditya Thackeray, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism, Environment and Protocol, Government of Maharashtra, and Dr. Sudhir Mehta, Chairman, EKA and Pinnacle Industries Ltd.
EKA is an electronic vehicle manufacturing and technology subsidiary of Pinnacle Industries. EKA is one of the only commercial vehicle manufacturers approved under the Champion OEM Scheme and EV Component Manufacturing Scheme of the Auto PLI Policy of the Government of India. 
EKA E9, The electric bus comes in two variants, with 650mm and 900mm platform options. With plenty of seating configurations, the E9 makes use of its modular architecture to be the minibus for every application.
