  • These new Electric charging stations are at Rajghat, IP Estate, Kalkaji, Nehru Place, Mehrauli, Dwarka Sector-2, and Dwarka Sector-8 Bus Depot.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated 7 EV charging stations across Delhi, connecting over 2,000 charging points in Delhi. The new charging stations have been developed at DTC’s Rajghat, IP Estate, Kalkaji, Nehru Place, Mehrauli, Dwarka Sector-2, and Dwarka Sector-8 bus depots.

Since the implementation of the Delhi EV policy in 2020, 60,846 electric vehicles have been purchased in Delhi so far.

“We did not expect such an overwhelming response when we made the EV Policy in 2020. 25,809 EVs were bought last year while 28,848 EVs have already been bought in the last 7 months,” said CM Arvind Kejriwal during the launch.

To promote charging at these 7 DTC depots being inaugurated today, one will be able to charge their vehicles from slow chargers at less than Rs 3 per unit.
