BYD Atto 3 Delivery 

BYD, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has made its mark in India with the delivery of the first batch of 340 units of the Atto 3 electric SUV. The company sold a total of 23,231 Atto 3 units globally in January 2023, including the units delivered in India. 



Since its launch in November 2022, the Atto 3 has garnered over 2,000 bookings in India, with many more pending deliveries as order books were opened back in October 2022. The Atto 3, which is offered in a single trim, is priced at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and is equipped with a 60kWh Blade battery pack and a 204PS electric motor. It boasts an ARAI-claimed range of 521km and is compatible with fast charging, allowing for a zero to 80 percent charge time of 50 minutes with an 80kW fast charger. 

In addition to the Atto 3, BYD has plans to widen its footprint in India with 53 touchpoints by the end of 2023. The company is also planning to launch another car in the country, the Seal EV, which was showcased at the Auto Expo and is expected to hit the roads around the festive season.
