https://e-vehicleinfo.com/bel-launches-indigenously-developed-li-ion-lfp-cell/We all think that electric mobility is a monopoly of the automotive industry, however, BEL (Bharat Electronics Limited) has decided to produce Indigenously developed lithium-ion battery cells for electric vehicles. This announcement was made at a Defence Expo held in Gandhinagar.

About BEL

Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) is a government-owned Indian aerospace and defense electronics firm. Its primary business is the production of innovative electronic equipment for ground and aeronautical applications. BEL is one of nine PSUs under India’s Ministry of Defence.

The Government of India has designated it as a Navratna.

Why are Li-ion batteries important?

For e-Mobility, Li-ion is the main battery technology. Long cycle life Li-Ion LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate – LiFePO4) chemistry is a safer choice for EV applications.

Li-Ion cells are now imported into India for use in battery packs. BEL, in partnership with NSTL (DRDO), has gone into Li-Ion cell manufacture for Defense and e-Mobility applications to establish self-reliance in Li-Ion cell manufacturing.

What is the plan?

BEL has constructed a pilot plant for the research and manufacturing of Li-Ion prismatic cells. BEL has designed and realized three varieties of Li-Ion prismatic cells, namely 3.2V, 10 Ah / 25 Ah, using raw materials such as anode, cathode, electrolyte, solvents, binder, and so on. These cells’ intended uses include underwater, e-mobility, and remote power systems, among others.

The Future

The progress of such defense firms into the realm of electric vehicles is a sign that India is ready to adopt EVs. This action will encourage more new and established industries to enter the EV world.

Varnika is an aware and proud citizen of India. She is working towards nation-building and sustainability. Therefore, she has decided to enjoy the advanced business of Electric Vehicles. She is headed to get the news out of cutting-edge versatility, completely mindful that solitary EVs are inevitable in India.

    6. Misc- 2-4000₹

An average working man travels 25-50 km per day for work and back. Spending appx 8 -9,000₹ on petrol two wheeler.
First time in history of Auto industry comes a product – ELECTRIC MOBILITY which will save each active user 8 – 10,000₹ per mth.

25-30% SAVINGS EACH MONTH FOR 85% of population & SAVINGS of over 87 Billion USD or 7 lac Crore imports in terms of Oil.

The outcome is going to be unimaginable!!! Unfathomable!!!!

The world will never be the same again.

“Evolet” = Happy, Sustainable, Affordable, Green mobility for each & everyone. Just like our ageless companion – The Horse.

  2. We are living in a pivotal movement in India’s history it is a time of opportunity, inclusive growth & transformation. The nation has never been younger, two thirds of Indians are under 35. It has never been more ambitious.
Achieving a 5 trillion economy is just one milestone in the journey to becoming an economic powerhouse. The world is looking at India to play the role of lead growth engine, a roll China played for almost three decades. The shift to EVs is not just a choice but NECESSAITY for the country & its people.
To move towards a stellar growth adverse efforts of current mode of transport needs to be countered.
Government will stand to save 3000cr per day in revenue from fuel” as we import most of it, so net gain is environment, consumer gain & social responsibility to mother Earth”.

This is Landmark moment for India’s automotive industry,” “Electric Mobility”is finally coming to India.”
Youngster today have been born in Modern World of technology, they are impressed by the Work of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Jack Maa , Sunder Pichai, several new young owners want to Pursue new path, wanting to work on Sunrise industries . Old Patriarchs of Big Industrial Groups are not ready to give up their dominance, position, sole Monopoly which they have enjoyed for decades during licence Raj .
